Rx. Rehmanniae Sheng Di Huang 5-30g Clears Heat, cools the Blood, nourishes Yin and generates fluids.
With Bai Shao, for Blood Deficiency Heat.
With Mu Dan Pi, for Ying and Xue Stage Heat with a high fever, scarlet tongue, thirst, a rash all over the body, epistaxis and hemoptysis.
Rx. Paeoniae Alba Bai Shao 5-30g Nourishes the Blood, astringes Yin and regulates menstruation.
With Gan Cao, regulates the relationship between the Liver and Spleen and nourishes the sinews.
Cx. Moutan Radicis Mu Dan Pi 6-12g Clears Heat, cools and harmonizes the Blood, clears Deficiency Fire, invigorates the Blood and dispels Blood Stasis.
Gypsum Fibrosum Shi Gao 15-60g Clears Heat in the Qi Stage, drains Fire, relieves irritability, quenches thirst, clears Excess Heat from the Lungs and heals eczema, burns and ulcerated sores and wounds.
With Sheng Di Huang, for excessive Fire with injured fluids.
With Sheng Di Huang and Zhi Mu, for Stomach Fire.
Rz. Anemarrhenae Zhi Mu 6-12g Clears Heat, from the Lungs and Stomach, drains Fire, nourishes Yin and moistens Dryness.
With Shi Gao, cools Heat in the Yang Ming or Qi Level while protecting Stomach fluids to treat high fever, profuse sweating, insatiable thirst, a red face, aversion to Heat and a large, strong pulse.
